Prof. Sameena Chowdhury, obstetrician and gynecologist (MBBS, MCPS, FCPS, FICS, FICMCH, DRH (UK), FIAOG (Ind)) of Bangladesh. She is currently holding the position of president of ESB (Endometriosis-Adenomyosis Society of Bangladesh), board member of ASEA (Asian Society of Endometriosis & Adenomyosis), and member of WES (World Endometriosis Society). Previously, she was the chairman of the SAFOG Endometriosis committee and past president of the Obstetrical and Gynecological Society of Bangladesh (OGSB).

She has over 48 years of work experience in government and private sectors. She is an academician, researcher, and clinician with good experience working at the community level on sexual and reproductive health issues. She has more than 90 publications in national and international journals. She is also the author of five books on reproductive health issues and a contributor to chapters in medical textbooks.

Currently, she is working as a Chief Consultant of OBGYN at the Central Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The major awards she received are the Outstanding Women's Award, Alokito Nari 2022, and Netajee Shuvash Chandra Basu Peace 2022.
