Dr. Islam Magalov (Mahalov) is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Baku Branch of Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. He graduated magna cum laude from Azerbaijan Medical University and holds the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences.

His clinical and academic interests focus on urogynecology, pelvic floor disorders, endometriosis, and minimally invasive pelvic surgery. Dr. Magalov has completed advanced training in laparoscopy and pelvic surgery in Europe and Asia.

He is Vice President of the Azerbaijan Minimal Invasive Surgeons Association (AMISA) and a member of several international professional societies, including AAGL, ESGE, MIPS, ASEA, APAGE, and ELSA. Dr. Magalov is the author and co-author of 47 scientific publications and regularly lectures at national and international conferences.
