YOUNG MIN CHOI

Prof. Choi obtained his medical degree from the Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1980, and was awarded a master degree (1983) and a Ph.D. (1990) by the Seoul National University Postgraduate School.

He completed his internship and obstetric and gynaecology residency and fellowship at the Seoul National University Hospital. Professor Choi also spent 15 months at Brigham & Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston, U.S.A. as a research fellow in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (1992-1993).

He became the faculty staff in 1989 and Professor in 2000 in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Seoul National University College of Medicine.

Dr. Choi majors in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. His research interests are focused on assisted reproductive technology, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, and human embryonic stem cell. He has published 161 articles in SCI journals.

He was the President of the Korean Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the President of the Korean Society for Assisted Reproduction, He is now the Director of the Institute of Reproductive Medicine and Population, Seoul National University College of Medicine, and the President of the Korean Endometriosis Society.
